CI/CD Engineer

We are seeking a Senior DevOps/CI/CD Engineer to work on our W2, from anywhere in Texas, and willing to come on-site, to design, implement, and support scalable tools and systems that integrate automated application testing and deployment processes. This role will drive CI/CD tool selection and implementation, build secure and auditable release pipelines, and partner across infrastructure, security, development, and project leadership teams to improve delivery speed, reliability, and quality in complex technical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement CI/CD tools and systems that integrate automated testing and deployment processes.
• Manage and control the scope of deployment-related tasks and support high-level project plans.
• Evaluate, select, and deploy CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Travis CI or similar).
• Configure and maintain application environments, databases, cloud services, and infrastructure deployments.
• Develop reusable automation code; read and understand application code for test design support and code reviews.
• Document system designs and configurations to meet customer requirements, team standards, and future scalability needs.
• Work cross-functionally with infrastructure, security, developers, and project leadership to ensure alignment and value delivery.
• Proactively address production support issues; perform root-cause analysis and implement improvements.
• Implement documentation controls, audit trails, and security requirements; maintain decision records and standards.
• Apply systems methodologies to development and support activities; participate in technical designs and code walk-throughs.
• Identify impacts of software/hardware upgrades and create appropriate test strategies.
• Support implementation and conversion planning, including rollout and validation activities.

Requirements

• Proficiency in at least one programming language; strong scripting in Python, Perl, or Ruby (or similar).
• Demonstrated experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, Bamboo, Travis (or equivalent).
• Experience with environment configuration and deployment across applications, databases, cloud services, and infrastructure.
• Knowledge of prototyping tools and processes.
• Familiarity with modern SDLC methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Ability to improve performance and reliability through automation and engineering best practices.
• Experience contributing to cost/benefit analysis of technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to share technical approaches with team members and customers.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 6 years of experience in CI/CD development, deployment, and maintenance within complex technical environments.
• Relevant certifications are highly desired (cloud, DevOps, security, automation, etc.).
