AI Advisor

We are seeking a skilled AI Advisor to work remotely from anywhere in Texas (must be willing to come to Austin when requested) partnering with our client's public sector clients on strategic AI assessment projects. In this role, you will help agencies navigate their AI journey by organizing road maps, defining enterprise architectures, and building compelling business cases for AI enablement.

While this position does not require executive-level tenure, it demands exceptional consulting acumen, a sharp technical grasp of artificial intelligence, and the finesse to guide diverse government stakeholders toward actionable execution.

Key Responsibilities

*             Assessment & Discovery: Lead client discovery sessions and structured assessments to evaluate agency readiness, data maturity, and operational bottlenecks for AI adoption.

*             Roadmap Development: Design clear, phased AI implementation roadmaps that align emerging technologies with public sector missions, budgets, and compliance standards.

*             Architecture & Strategy: Collaborate with technical teams to outline high-level AI architecture, integration strategies, and secure data pipelines.

*             Business Case Creation: Develop rigorous business cases and ROI models that clearly articulate the value, feasibility, and risk mitigation strategies for enterprise AI initiatives.

*             Stakeholder Facilitation: Facilitate workshops and consensus-building sessions across multiple departments, bridging the gap between technical complexity and business leadership.

Requirements:

*             Experience: 10 years of professional consulting experience with a strong track record of client-facing advisory, workshop facilitation, and deliverable ownership.

*             Core Consulting Skills: Proven expertise in requirements gathering, business case development, and translating high-level business goals into structured strategic roadmaps.

*             Technical Foundation: Solid understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning use cases, generative AI applications, and cloud-based data ecosystems.

*             Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Computer Science, Public Administration, or related discipline).

Preferred

*             Public Sector Background: Direct experience working within or advising government agencies, public education, or municipal entities.

*             Framework Familiarity: Working knowledge of public sector compliance, procurement considerations, and AI governance frameworks (such as the NIST AI Risk Management Framework).

*             Advanced Education & Certifications: Relevant advanced degree or industry certifications in AI, machine learning, project management (PMP), or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

*             Analytical Problem Solving: Ability to assess qualitative and quantitative data to build rigorous ROI models, feasibility analyses, and structured readiness assessments.
