Senior Cloud Engineer (Hybrid Contract) Austin, TX
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer for a long-term hybrid contract supporting our Austin, Texas client's Cloud Infrastructure Architecture. This role is responsible for designing, administering, and optimizing cloud and identity services, with a strong focus on Azure and Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly collaborative, and experienced in enterprise migration and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and support enterprise cloud infrastructure architecture and system integrations.
- Administer and optimize Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments.
- Implement and maintain identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including AD/ADFS.
- Plan and execute cloud and platform migrations using established tooling and best practices.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Contribute to operational excellence through documentation, standards, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of verifiable experience in systems design and cloud infrastructure architecture.
- 2 years (within the past 6 years) administering Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure cloud environments.
- Extensive experience with Active Directory (AD/ADFS) and Identity & Access Management (IAM).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with migration tools (e.g., Quest, Metalogix) and automation platforms such as Azure DevOps.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications such as:
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Experience leading or coordinating cross-functional engineering teams (Cloud, Networking, Infrastructure).
- Experience with security tools such as Proofpoint (email encryption) and Barracuda Cloud.
