Oracle Developer

Our Sacramento-based client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Software Engineer with extensive expertise in systems analysis, database development, and programming for a long-term remote (from anywhere in California) position. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electronic data processing, business systems design, and Oracle PL/SQL development, and will have leadership roles in prior projects.

Responsibilities include:

*             Lead system study, analysis, and design initiatives for large-scale IT projects.

*             Conduct data modeling and develop database components using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.

*             Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and deliver robust solutions.

*             Troubleshoot complex system and data issues, identifying root causes and corrective actions.

*             Write technical specifications, process documentation, and system architecture diagrams.

*             Ensure performance optimization and implement security best practices in all developed systems.

*             Mentor junior developers and analysts on best practices, coding standards, and methodologies.

Requirements:

*             Experience in Electronic Data Processing: 7 years in systems study, design, and programming, with 6 years in a lead capacity.

*             Systems Analysis: 7 years of experience in systems analysis, specification development, and documentation.

*             Oracle Development: 5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle database development.

*             Programming: 7 years of experience with languages such as PL/SQL, Python, and/or Java for data manipulation and integration.

Education:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree or Ph.D. in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
