We are seeking a Security Architect / Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer to work on our W2 for a Hybrid contract position (must be able to come to the Huntsville, Texas office with advanced notice) leading efforts in mapping data between legacy and future systems, determining what data should be migrated, and aligning with our client's enterprise architecture strategy. You will document and assess data, application, network, infrastructure, and security architectures to ensure consistency and modernization. Must be capable of independently driving IAM-related projects, reconstructing security frameworks, identifying and resolving security management issues, and recommending forward-looking solutions. Strong documentation and communication skills are essential to support architectural decisions and maintain standards across evolving systems.
Job functions include:
- Design cloud-based hardware and software solutions.
- Design and address key architecture considerations for cloud systems.
- Publishing, updating, and ensuring that the architecture models meet business requirements and architecture standards.
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional, multi-Service Provider work teams.
- Justify project, equipment, or staffing expenditures by identifying costs, benefits, and associated risks.
Requirements
- Expertise in standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with relational database technologies and capabilities.
- Knowledge of relevant industry groups, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters.
- Ability to work with others in a constructive and collaborative manner.
- Ability to think critically; to recognize and anticipate a problem (technical, operational, process, organizational) and to identify and implement the best solution promptly.
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of marketplace experience, developments, and trends related to the Information Technology function.
- Experience with scalability and performance issues related databases.
Experience and education>
- Undergraduate degree required with an information technology focus (preferred), and at least ten (10) years of experience in technical roles in technically complex environments.
- Or an MBA or advanced degree, and at least 8 years of experience in technical roles in technically complex environments.
- At least 2 years of experience as a technical cloud architect and/or technical cloud lead.
- Industry Certifications in an area of expertise preferred.
